Ryan Van Wert, MD
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Dr. Van Wert is the co-founder and CEO of VyncaCare. Before VyncaCare, Dr. Van Wert co-founded AWAIR, Inc., a medical device company that is focused on reducing complications for critically ill patients, and in 2015 was acquired by Cook Medical Technologies. He is passionate about improving care delivery at the end of life and the process of value-driven healthcare innovation.
Dr. Van Wert graduated from Queen’s University, Canada, with the University Medal in chemical engineering. He completed medical school and internal medicine residency at the University of Toronto and his fellowship at Stanford University. He holds three board certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition to his role at VyncaCare, he is a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University, where he maintains a small clinical practice.
Chief Operating Officer
As VyncaCare’s Chief Operating Officer, Janet has over 25 years of healthcare technology experience. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson) where she was responsible for long-range strategic planning, business modeling, and operations to support customers as they navigate the evolving healthcare landscape. Janet has extensive experience leading provider-focused revenue cycle businesses with an emphasis on consumerism, as well as payer-focused member engagement that leverages AI to offer services to MA members addressing dual eligibility, SdoH, and appointment scheduling. She is consistently recognized for operational excellence and a strong, customer-focused, and collaborative management process that drives highly effective business execution and growth.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and German from Randolph-Macon College in Virginia.
Angela Poppe Ries, MD
Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Angela Poppe Ries combines her expertise in patient care with her knowledge of health care management to lead health care innovation. She has the ability to create healthcare solutions that achieve cost-efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of quality with her dynamic approaches to population health with both provider and payor groups.
Angela started her career at the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health System. There she founded their palliative care program and served as the Chief of Staff of the health system for four years, working with utilization management, provider services, quality and compliance, and numerous multidisciplinary collaborations. In addition, she has been the medical director for Amedisys Hospice and Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care. While at each of these organizations, she also partnered with local health systems to reduce readmissions for patients with complex needs.
Dr. Poppe Ries is board certified in Internal Medicine, and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the Duke School of Medicine and completed her residency training. She has a Master of Business Administration from the Fox School of Business at Temple University and a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Dartmouth College.
Chief Growth Officer
As VyncaCare’s Chief Growth Officer, Andrew has over ten years of healthcare experience across value-based care, revenue cycle management strategy, and patient predictive analytics. Before joining the VyncaCare team, he was Vice President at Remedy Partners, an innovative company that enabled healthcare organizations to shift to alternative payment models. Andrew was responsible for leading a team that connects providers, payers, and patients to create value-based care arrangements that center a patient’s experience around an episode of care. He is passionate about improving the care delivery model for patients and their families.
He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Grand Valley State University.
Chief Financial Officer
As VyncaCare's Chief Financial Officer, Frank Ronchetti has over 15 years of healthcare and life sciences experience. Throughout his career, Frank has helped companies backed by venture capital and private equity investors to grow and succeed. His expertise includes providing capital - as a lender, investor, board member, financial intermediary, and a direct contributor to economic and strategic success as a CFO. Frank has worked in multiple industries, including software, manufacturing, and marketing services. Immediately before joining VyncaCare, Frank was the CFO of DispatchHealth, an innovative, hyper-growth healthcare services company delivering high-acuity care in the home.
Frank has a bachelor's degree in Economics from Stanford University and a Master's in Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
As VyncaCare’s General Counsel, Nick has nine years of healthcare experience. Nick is responsible for the legal, public policy, and compliance needs of VyncaCare. Previously, Nick served at Remedy Partners (acquired by Signify Health), supporting regulatory affairs, product strategy, and the legal team for a $3 billion value-based contracting portfolio. Before that, he was a Health Insurance Specialist and Litigation Attorney at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
He earned his law degree from the University of Virginia and a B.S./M.A. from George Washington University.
Senior Vice President of Product and Engineering
As VyncaCare’s SVP of Product and Engineering, Eitan has over 25 years in the tech industry. Before joining the organization, he was Director of Product Management at Teladoc, responsible for the member experience. He currently leads the product, engineering, and IT teams at VyncaCare, and has a proven track record of delivering innovative and successful outcomes. He is a strategic thinker passionate about using technology to solve complex problems and drive business growth.
He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Mercy College.
